Artist Paul F Bennett describes his inspiration for this artwork:“‘The Wanderer Above the Mist’ was originally painted by Casper D Friedrich in 1818 (approximately) and became one of the most popular paintings of the 19th Century Romanticism period. By the 20th Century, however, things had changed somewhat with those gentle mists replaced by the smoke of a thousand Northern chimneys.Then in 1962, along came Dion from the USA to take The Wanderer all the way into the UK top ten.’They call me the Wanderer, Yeah the Wanderer. I roam around, around, around, around’.”This is a framed limited edition print of 25 by Lymm-based artist PF Bennett.
